  1. "Spy Game." Robert Redford attempts to free his CIA colleague (Brad Pitt) who has been arrested and detained in a Chinese prison on charges of espionage. This is an interesting spy thriller that provides a lot of action.
  2. "Black Hawk Down." This action-filled movie depicts the Battle of Mogadishu. The US military is conducting a raid against Somalian rebels. Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor and Tom Sizemore star in this film.
  3. "Pearl Harbor." World War II is the setting for this action-filled movie. Two boyhood friends compete for the love of the same woman. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor is told through the eyes of these two men. It stars Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale, Josh Hartnett and Alec Baldwin.
  4. "Planet of the Apes." A remake of the 1968 original, this movie, directed by Tim Burton, takes place in the year 2029. Astronauts take a detour and find themselves on a strange planet inhabited by talking apes. This leads to an alarming discovery. Mark Wahlberg and Helena Bonham Carter star.
  5. "Jurassic Park III." A couple needs the help of Dr. Alan Grant to help them find their son who is missing on an island. Dr. Grant falls for their trick, goes to the island and finds himself in a heap of trouble. There are lots of creepy action. This was based on the Michael Crichton novel.
  6. "Atlantis, The Lost Empire." This is an animated movie with the voices of Michael J. Fox, James Garner and Leonard Nimoy. The setting is 1914. A young boy working in a museum seeks to find out if the legend of the lost empire of Atlantis is true. This is an animate submarine adventure.
  7. "Ocean's Eleven." George Clooney plays an ex-con out to avenge the man who stole his wife (Julia Roberts). This takes him to the vaults of three Las Vegas casinos where he intends to break in. This is an action-filled movie entertainment.
  8. "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." This is the very first Harry Potter movie based on the novels of J.K. Rowling. An eleven-year-old boy in a miserable home situation discovers that he is really a wizard. He leaves his home for Hogwarts Academy, a school of wizardry. There are lots of action in this fantasy adventure. It stars Daniel Radcliffe, Richard Harris and Maggie Smith.
  9. "The Lord of the Rings:The Fellowship of the Rings." This is a fantasy/action/adventure film with all sorts of strange happenings. In Middle Earth, a young hobbit is entrusted with an ancient ring. This leads to all sorts of adventures.
  10. "A Knight's Tale." Inspired by the "Canterbury Tales," this is an action movie that also offers romance and comedy. The story takes place in the 1370's. Heath Ledger has the leading role as a knight who seeks to become a jousting champion.
