Even though it’s indeed subjective, I must add that the Godzilla movies were never of high quality, if you ask me. Sure the first was ground-breaking, and a lot of the sequels entertaining… but most of them (including the ones I call entertaining) were absolutely horrible in “technical terms”. “So bad it’s good” seemed to be the case with nearly all of them, to me. Hardly good films, all extremely cheesy and low quality, although I am a fan. I do like bad movies. But yes, I would say the American Godzilla is, “technically” (if there is such a thing), better than most “real” Godzilla movies. Really.
