This was Brad Renfro’s last movie, and it’s about people with drug problems that live in Los Angeles and can barely hold their shit together. Sound familiar? With all the hype surrounding Heath checking out befor the Dark Knight dropped, will Renfro’s death hel the box office?
The Informers is based on a book by Bret Easton Ellis, author of American Psycho, The Rules of Attraction, and Goodnight Moon. His books, like his movies, all talk about the same thing—college age kids with too much money acting just like their shitty, emotionally detached parents. This one is a collection of short stories that are loosely connected. If anything, I’m predicting it will be good for its moral depravity and hot, hot girls. Think Dawson’s creek on Showtime After Dark.
