Born in London, Robert Pattinson attended a notable institution for drama and the arts, Harrodian School, then became involved in theatre at an early age at the the Barnes Theatre Company, thanks to a group of girls he befriended. His first audition was for a small part in "Guys and Dolls," which he got. This was quickly followed by the TV movie "Ring of the Nibelungs" and the straight to DVD release of "Vanity Fair," a movie in which he plays a small part.

From nerdy wizard to sparkly vampire In 2008, Robert Pattinson was awarded the role of his life as the dashing, yet sparkling, vampire Edward Cullen in Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight." With the success of the film's release came a contract for part two in the Twilight saga, "New Moon." At the premier, which had the third-largest debut on record, Robert Pattinson said, "I think very few human beings will ever get to experience the same feelings and love we feel at 'Twilight' events."  

The year of 2010 was a big step for Robert Pattinson having finally broken female hearts everywhere by announcing his relationship with "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart. Then trying to break away from the Twilight mold, Robert Pattinson took the lead role in "Remember Me." However, a few months after the release of "Remember Me," the third addition in the Twilight saga; "Eclipse" was released and "Remember Me" instantly became a distant memory. Fans were not, and still aren't, quite ready to let him leave his vampiric image.
