Over the years there have been some great actresses who have chosen to bare it all in America’s iconic men’s magazine leading to many fans feverishly debating the 10 best naked actresses in "Playboy." Some of these leading ladies chose to capitalize on their fame by appearing in Playboy. Others used the opportunity to resuscitate dwindling careers. No matter the reason, here are the 10 best naked actresses in Playboy of all time.

  1. No discussion of naked actresses in "Playboy" is complete without including Marilyn Monroe. In 1949, she was struggling to make ends meet and reluctantly agreed to pose nude for "Playboy" magazine. Her spread eventually became one of the most iconic pictorials in Hollywood history and laid the foundation for other starlets to appear in "Playboy" as a career milestone.

  2. Farrah Fawcett adamantly refused to pose nude throughout the 1970's and 1980's, so she caused a minor uproar when she appeared nude in the December 1995 issue of "Playboy" magazine. That issue went on to become the best selling edition of the 1990's, with more than four million copies sold across the world solidifying her position as one of the most popular naked actresses in Playboy magazine.

  3. Bo Derek’s Playboy appearance was billed as “the 10 girl in a sensational nude pictorial." She made the first of numerous appearances in the magazine in the March 1980 edition adding to her already considerable fan base by joining the list of A-list naked actresses in "Playboy."

  4. Jayne Mansfield was a sex symbol in the 50's and 60's. Her appearance in Hugh Hefner’s magazine as the February 1955 Playmate made headlines around the world. Often compared to another blonde bombshell featured in "Playboy’s" pages, Jayne Mansfield turned heads wherever she went. Mansfield’s daughter later appeared in Playboy as well.

  5. Drew Barrymore first gained attention as a child actress starring in "E.T the Extra-Terrestrial." She announced herself as an adult by posing nude for the January 1995 issue of "Playboy," prompting her godfather Steven Spielberg to give her a quilt for her twentieth birthday with a note reading, "Cover yourself up."

  6. Sharon Stone exposed herself in "Playboy’s" pages before she did the same in the hit thriller "Basic Instinct." The cover announced that Sharon Stone had “Hollywood breathing heavy.” America caught it’s respective breath long enough to vote her one of the most beautiful people in the world in "People Magazine."

  7. Pamela Anderson’s "Playboy" career spans three decades and she has graced more covers than anyone else. Anderson became "Playboy's" Playmate of the Month for the first time in the February 1990 issue and has earned her spot as one of the best naked actresses in "Playboy."

  8. Garcelle Beauvais joined the list of naked actresses in "Playboy" at age forty, five months pregnant with twins. As the cover says, she “rocks the camera naked” and proves that middle aged women can still be sexy.

  9. Kim Basinger is the first to admit that her 1983 "Playboy" pictorial lead to many career opportunities, like 1984's film "The Natural," for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. She appeared on the cover in January 1985 sparking a debate on whether a woman approaching forty could still be considered a sex symbol worthy enough to grace "Playboy's" legendary pages.

  10. Charlize Theron’s pictorial was definitely the reason the May 1999 issue of "Playboy" sold so many copies. I’m sure the David Spade interview was intriguing, however, as one of the hottest naked actresses in "Playboy," Charlize Theron stole the show.
