"Forgetting Sarah Marshall": As the title character, Kristen Bell plays selfish but somehow likable crime show TV star Sarah. Sarah breaks the heart of her "ordinary" boyfriend, Peter Bretter (Jason Segel), when she dumps him to date Aldous Snow (Russell Brand), an out-of-control rock star. Hilarious trouble brews when Sarah and Peter, both with potentially new partners, find themselves at the same Hawaiian resort.
"Fanboys": A love letter to "Star Wars" fans everywhere, "Fanboys" follows the efforts of a group friends to break into the Skywalker Ranch and watch the not-yet-released "Stars Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace." Kristen Bell pays "Star Wars" fangirl Zoe, the only female in the group. Often funny and complete with the requisite fight with "Star Trek" fans at a convention, "Fanboys" does have its serious moments, as the trip is fueled by the knowledge that one of the group, Linus (Chris Marquette), is dying of cancer and will not live to see the film's official release date.
"Reefer Madness: The Musical": Based on the stage musical of the same name, Kristen Bell is Mary Lane, an all American-dream girl in the 1950s who is dragged into a song-filled nightmare by her marijuana-addicted boyfriend. "Reefer Madness" plays on the instructional films of that era that exaggerated the effects of pot smoking to scare teenagers who were thinking about experimenting.
