Try not to drool with these Jennifer Garner movies. Garner got he break with the role on the hit TV series “Alias” in 2001. She also had a role on the show “Felicity.”This southern belle from Houston, Texas has become one of the most popular female action stars.
“Daredevil” (2003). This movie was based on the popular comic book and was one of Garner’s biggest role. The movie is about a man who was blinded in his youth by toxic waste and becomes a martial arts superhero. Garner stars with Ben Affleck and Colin Farrell in the movie and plays Elektra Natchios.
“13 Going on 30” (2004). This is one of Garner’s first starring roles. In the movie, she plays Jenna Rink, a thirteen-year-old girl who plays a game on her birthday and wakes up as a 30 year-old. The film is a chick-flick that makes you look at life through a child’s eyes.
“Elektra” (2005). This is the follow up story to the character she played in “Daredevil.” The movie follows Elektra after her near death experience and shows how she becomes an assassin-for-hire.
“Catch and Release” (2006). In the movie Garner plays Gray, a woman struggles to get her life in order after the death of her fiancé during his bachelor party weekend. She soon discovers that he kept finical secrets from her but since he died before they were married, she doesn’t inherit any of his money.
“Ghosts of Girlfriend’s Past” (2009).Mathew McConaugey plays Connor Mead, a bachelor is haunted by the ghosts while at his brother’s wedding after he declares love to be a waste of time. At the start of the movie Mead runs into his former girlfriend that is played by Garner. The plot is set up similar to “A Christmas Carol” but set around the eve of a wedding.
“The Kingdom” (2007).In the movie, a team of US agents are sent to investigate the bombing of an American facility in the Middle East. Garner plays a forensic examiner, Special Agent Janet Mayes and stars with Jamie Foxx and Chris Cooper.
“The Invention of Lying” (2009).This comedy is set in a world where nobody lies until a writer, Mark Bellison (Ricky Gervais) invents lying for personal gain. Garner plays Anna McDoogles, a woman that is overly honest to Bellison on a date.
“Valentine’s Day” (2010).In the movie a group of friends through breaks-up and makes-up in their relationships due to the pressures of the upcoming holiday. Garner plays Julia Fitzpatrick, an elementary school teacher who discovers that the doctor she is interested in is married.
“Pearl Harbor” (2001).This historical block buster followed the story of two friends during the tragic event of Pearl Harbor. Garner had a minor role in the film as Nurse Sandra, a friend to the love interest that the two men fight over.
“Catch Me if You Can” (2002).This is another small but memorable role for Garner. The movie is about a thief who conned millions of dollars with forge checks before his nineteenth birthday. In the movie Garner plays Cheryl Ann, a call-girl that ends up working for one of the forged checks. It’s one of the funnier scenes of the movie.
