10 Scariest Movie Killers
If you're looking for a good fright, then you need to look out for the ten scariest movie killers. Any good horror flick is turned mediocre unless it has a great antagonist, which is why this list contains the scariest movie killers ever. These guys just keep coming no matter what the scared teens and tourists in the films throw at them, and they always have a great motivation to keep doing what they're doing. Lock the doors and pull down the blinds, because here come the ten scariest movie killers!
Michael Myers. "Halloween" is one of the grand-daddies of the horror genre, so it's fitting that Michael is at the top of this list. A non-descript white mask and a hatred for teenagers having sex makes him one of the scariest movie killers of all time. Especially since he keeps coming out on the scariest day of the year!
Ghostface. The "Scream" movies both lampooned and took the horror genre to new levels, including their great antagonist. Wearing a mask that you can now find at your local pharmacy is especially frightening, considering that it could be anyone who had the foresight to pick it up.
Jaws. What's a better villain than a 30 foot shark? Nothing, really—consider swimming in the deep blue when you feel that horrifying tug, and your last moments of life are spent being dragged beneath the waves, and then you become lunch. It's for those reasons that the titular fish is one of the scariest movie killers ever.
Chucky. The "Child's Play" series is great because it takes something as innocent as a doll and makes it creepy. Chucky is definitely one of the scariest movie killers ever. It's a shame his movies have seemed to go from decent to awful in just a few years.
Xenomorph. "Alien" was one of the best science fiction movies ever made. When you think about it, it really got you with the environmental spooks and the ever-famous "chest bursting" scene. When audiences finally got a look at the hideous beast, needless to say they passed a few bricks.
Jason Bateman. Christian Bale's character in "American Psycho" was just your ordinary high powered Wall Street Executive, until he saw the wrong type of business cards. He's easily one of the scariest movie killers because he could very well be walking down the street right now, hiding his psychosis behind some amazing hair.
Hannibal Lecter. Anthony Hopkins played one of the scariest movie killers of all time in "Silence of the Lambs." Psychotic, cannibalistic, and highly intelligent.
John Doe. Kevin Spacey's character in the terrific "Se7en," is easily one of the best movie antagonists of all time. When your trump card is delivering Gwenyth Paltrow's head in a box, then you know you're one of the scariest movie killers of all time.
Jason Voorhees. Considering that the man basically invented the slasher genre, you know he's one of the scariest movie killers of all time. Think about it, you wouldn't ever think that a hockey mask and machete would make an awesome Halloween costume until you saw these movies.
Leatherface. What more can you say about this amazing movie killer. He's huge, has a masked face, a crazy Hillbilly family and runs around with a freaking chainsaw. Seriously, if he's not one of the scariest movie killers, then who is?
