These actors were the best of the best, proving to be the highlights of the movies they appeared in and deserving of any awards accolades they receive. These actors brought the goods and made every movie they starred better for it.
Christian Bale – Christian Bale was the best male actor in 2010 with his portrayal of Dicky Eklund in “The Fighter.” Dicky is a former boxer whose claim to fame is knocking down Sugar Ray Leonard once. Bale plays the character perfectly, a crack addict who can’t see his own shortcomings.
Leonardo DiCaprio – In the Martin Scorsese film, “Shutter Island,” Leonardo DiCaprio plays a US Marshall sent to a prison island to find a prisoner who disappeared. As he remains on the island, he begins to see strange visions and believes someone does not want him to leave. DiCaprio plays the paranoid Marshall perfectly.
Robert Downey Jr. – Robert Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark for the second time in this sequel to the popular “Iron Man” franchise. Downey Jr. has the mannerisms and devil-may-care personality down pat and makes this one of the most entertaining superheroes in movies today.
Denzel Washington – In the post-apocalyptic thriller “Book of Eli,” Denzel Washington plays a drifter who is tasked with protecting the last remaining Bible on the planet. Washington plays the loner perfectly as he travels across the dangerous wasteland, attempting to find the right person to give the book to.
Andrew Garfield – Andrew Garfield plays the best friend of Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network.” Garfield is the heart and soul of the story. Garfield will next be seen in the reboot of “Spider-Man.”
Johnny Depp – Johnny Depp plays the Mad Hatter in the Tim Burton movie, “Alice in Wonderland.” Depp is a wonder in this movie, completely over the top but capturing the attention of the audience the entire film.

Bridges plays the role John Wayne made famous in the original movie as a rough, take no nonsense bounty hunter and pulls it off magnificently.
Bruce Willis – In the comic book adaptation “Red,” Bruce Willis stars as a retired government operative who has a hit put out on his head. One of the best male actors of 2010, Willis gives the character just the right amount of humor to like while always appearing to be dangerous.
James Marsden – In a remake of the British film "Death at a Funeral" with actors like Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence and Danny Glover, it is James Marsden who brought the most laughs, one of the best male actors of 2010. Marsden plays the boyfriend of Zoe Saldana’s character who ingests acid before the funeral and hilarity ensues.
