Tom Cruise Laughs At "Retard" Joke

There have been some protests about the usage of the word retard in Tropic Thunder. Apparently retard advocates are not too pleased about Robert Downey-Syndrome Jr's usage of the word retard in the Movie.

Personally, I think its sort of retarded to complain about it. I’m going to a Very Special Screening of the flick tonight, so check back tomorrow for our review. In the meantime, here’s what Variety had to report about the opening.

“Inside the Mann Village Theatre, revelers including Stiller and Tom Cruise, seemed unfazed by the nearby demonstration. The audience laughed heartily at all of the jokes that featured the use of the controversial word. When the film's Robert Downey Jr. implores Stiller's character to "Never go full retard" when chasing an Oscar, the crowd applauded enthusiastically.”

I like that the crowd applauded enthusiastically. You know, like a retard would.
