![]() Scarface School PlayPOSTED BY Col. Hans Longshanks | MONDAY MARCH 29 AT 9:50 PDT
Someone sent Break this elementary school production of Scarface. I have no idea what district would allow such explicit material to be portrayed by children, or why they used popcorn instead of cocaine, but I wish my old school was this cool. My guess is some drama teacher got his pink slip and said, "F*ck it, I'm puttin' on Scarface." Then before the administrators knew it, Tony Montana was dead face down in a hot tub and parents were clapping from sheer confusion. Check out the coolest school production ever below.

This is positively brilliant. I remember when my school shut down an upcoming production of Cabaret because it was "too sexual." Fudge that! These kids rock face. Get yo popcorn on!

Fudging WOW!! What son of a B thought this was a good idea?
March 30th, 2010 at 01:02 pm
Idiots. Just b/c it's on the Internet doesn't mean it's real. This was directed by Marc Klasfield.

Define "real." No, it wasn't a play put on by a school district, but it WAS a scene from Scarface reenacted by elementary school children. And if they were actors from a casting call, does that suddenly make them more "aware of" or less susceptible to the material? They're kids, and unfortunately, they probably have "stagemom" parents pressuring them into this. I'd be less concerned for the kids' well-being if it were really a school play.
Idiot.

No this isn’t a real school play. Its a video directed by Marc Klasfeld, who also directed Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” among many other videos. It features kids that were found through a casting agent

Hey SJ? Really? You do realize this wasn't an actual school play? It was a director's way of bringing everyone's attention to a topic. I don't agree with his position, but Bravo for his success.

I think that the teachers and administrators should be fired and the parents should go to parenting classes. This is not right for kids to be doing.

Seeing how it wasn't really a school play, rather a group of child actors, I see no real issue with this play. It made me laugh. What I don't understand is how people can be so contridictory. I am sure they have no problem watching a bloody mess of a horror movie which may contain a child actor (Hide and Seek- Dakota Fanning, Halloween movies, Freddy movies, Poltergist, etc.) which can be equally as "damaging" to a child if not worse due to the graphic images. I am sure these children weren't shown the real Scarface unless it was by their parents. You don't like it, don't watch it, or let your children. . .
