GHOSTBUSTERS 3 WILL FEATURE ORIGINAL CAST, NEW RECRUITS TOO

POSTED BY Buckminster Schumacker III | SATURDAY MARCH 28 AT 8:25 PDT

In a conversation with MTV about his upcoming Year One, writer-director Harold Ramis let loose some ectoplasmic bites of information on what we can expect from the new Ghostbusters movie.  According to Ramis:

"[Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and all the other core members from the original] are going to be in it in different kinds of roles," Ramis said. "We're going to be the sage mentors. There are going to be young Ghostbusters."

No announcements as to who those apprentices will be, but MTV surmised that with Judd Apatow producing, young comic stars like Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd could take part.

Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg of The Office are currently working on a first draft of the script, and according to Rogen via Ramis, "It had better be f**king good for anyone to touch [it]."  Fingers crossed we see a star-studded cast for this long-awaited sequel, then.

  2. Says:
Paul Rudd can be on screen for 3 hours and do nothing but shovel sh*t, and I'd buy a ticket
  3. Buckminster Schumacker III Says:

No Rachel Sexton!  You must support our movie exhibitors and buy a ticket to see Ghostbusters 3 in a theater!  (I'm not one to start rumors, but how much you wanna bet it's in 3-D?)
