I need to write about the Movie Gonzo, Alex Gibney’s new doc about Hunter S. Thompson. As a way to pay homage to the man, I decided to call my friend, a lawyer, and make sure we had some of the necessary supplies before embarking upon a mission of such great importance. Ether can only be found in laboratories, mescaline is all synthetic and worthless, and human pineal gland is way too expensive. So I settled on a few tallboys of Tecate and some wasabi peas. Man, times have changed, and watching this movie is a great way to be reminded of just that.
