It seems like every Judd Apatow movie features a quick sex-oriented scene with Carla Gallo (see 40 Year Old Virgin, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Superbad, etc).  The only problem with this is that she's only in one scene; she should be in more.  She sticks around for only one scene in his newest flick Funny People, but we're such suckers for her we'll take what we can get.  Hopefully, Apatow will learn that she should be more featured.  Until then, she has a pretty good supporting role (meaning she's in more than one scene) as an up and coming porn actress in Californication.  A word from Carla: "I love Urban Outfitters skinny jeans. And they're the right price!"She should do commercials for Urban Outfitters; her ability to exist in only one scene is perfect for commercial format (damn you Apatow!).  Check out more hot photos of Carla after the jump! Judd Apatow has a knack for finding women that manage to be very funny and incredibly hot at the same time for his movies.  For Funny People, he has found Aubrey Plaza, and up and coming actress and comedian who plays Seth Rogen's love interest in the film.  She also stars on the small screen in NBC's Parks and Recreation.  As a small side note, her Sarah Silverman impression is dead on.A word from Aubrey: "Wilmington is pretty small. There wasn't a ton to do there, but it definitely made me more creative because I had to kind of find my own thing to do, which is why I started making weird, funny videos."So growing up in a small and boring town is the secret to creating a hot and funny personality... Very interesting.  Check out more photos of Aubrey after the jump! More...

3 NEW CLIPS CUT FROM 'FUNNY PEOPLE'

FUNNY PEOPLE | Reviews | Videos | Forum | News | Photos
It's no secret that Funny People has taken the meta "movie-within-a-movie" concept and run with it for miles.  They've made clips like "Yo Teach!" (Jason Schwartzman) and the comic stylings of "Raaaaaaandy!" (Aziz Ansari) part of their potent viral marketing attack.  And today, Judd Apatow, writer-director of Funny People, wrote a guest post on MTV Movies Blog, in which he describes some of the fake movies within the movie... that didn't make it into the movie (not for lack of funny).  More...

George Simmons in "Re-Do" from Justin LongThis clip from a movie inside a movie features Adam Sandler playing George Simmons as Craig the workaholic in the high-concept comedy Re-Do.  In an effort to start over, a wizard turns Craig into a baby with an adult head.  I don't know who this wizard is but I certainly hope he gets his wizard license revoked for such blatant and inexcusable wizard malpractice.  I guess we'll never know since the film isn't really real. And just in case you're interested in purchasing the first season of 'Yo Teach' you can get it at the NBC Store. Today's Top Links:It Seems Erica Underwood Doesn't Like Wearing Her Bikini Top (GorillaMask)Flowchart for Giving a Best Man Speech (HolyTaco)Red Dawn Remake (Sigh) Picks Up Peck and Palicki (FilmDrunk)A Penguin-Shaped Wireless Mouse?  Brilliant! JASON SCHWARTZMAN & BO BURNHAM IN 'YO, TEACH!' - A 'FUNNY PEOPLE' META CLIP

FUNNY PEOPLE | Reviews | Videos | Forum | News | Photos
A little while back, we posted about the Judd Apatow-helmed, Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen-starring Funny People featuring fake films within the film.  Well, one of those fakes has found its way to the 'nets early.  It's Jason Schwartzman as actor Mark Taylor Jackson, starring in his own NBC sitcom, "Yo, Teach!"  Imagine "Head of the Class," but with wisecracking city kids instead of precocious geniuses, and with internet comic sensation Bo Burnham appearing as an "F" student who raps to cope with his insecurities.  Yo, Teach! - Watch more Movie Trailers It's damn funny stuff, and Apatow nails the tone of all those one-liner-laden sitcoms that still dealt with "the issues" of the day... you know... shows like "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper" and... every other show on NBC from 1987-2001.  This bodes well for the rest of the film, I'd say.  The filmmakers even went so far as to shoot an EPK for the show, which you can watch after the jump.  It might be the first EPK worth watching in the history of EPKs. 'FUNNY PEOPLE' TO GO 'TROPIC THUNDER' WITH FAKE MOVIES INSIDE MOVIE

FUNNY PEOPLE | Reviews | Videos | Forum | News | Photos
In an interview with MTV, Judd Apatow spills the beans that his upcoming film Funny People will include scenes and "marketing materials" for a bunch of fake movies in which Adam Sandler's character George Simmons stars.  It's a conceit that worked really well in Tropic Thunder, with the inspired trailers for such high concept spoofs as Scorcher, The Fatties: Fart 2 and Satan's Alley (all three of which you can see after the jump, along with a short list of faux-films within the world of Funny People. Aside from the obvious Seth Rogen one-liners, this movies seems to be a little more serious than Apatow's others. A few of my friends caught the cast around town rehearsing for their roles at various comedy clubs. The verdict: Awkward. Stand up ain't easy. More...
