Best known as the frustratingly mysterious Dr. Juliet Burke from that show about a time-traveling island or whatever, Elizabeth Mitchell is focusing on a more plausible realm of science fiction these days: Aliens. Aliens who are secretly lizards. I’m referring, of course, to the show “V” on ABC, in which Mitchell plays a hard-nosed FBI agent who, no matter how much space-lizard ass she kicks, can’t seem to keep her teenage son in check. Doing the best she can with the show’s frequently-cheesy dialogue and stunning plot holes, Mitchell offers up an entertaining performance each week, shooting things, driving places, and arguing with people in the most captivating manner possible.
