“American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood recently tried her hand at acting, appearing in Soul Surfer. She also once showed up in an episode of “How I Met Your Mother.” Whether the country starlet will shape her brief Hollywood foray into a legitimate acting career remains to be seen, but she certainly appears to have some momentum going for her.
