It’s likely that Brit Marling‘s appearance in “Community” last week resulted in a flurry of Google action directed at finding out who that cute blonde girl was that Gillian Jacobs made out with. But Marling isn’t just a pretty face coming up in Hollywood with bit parts in NBC sitcoms; she’s an accomplished writer, producer, director, and one of the de facto vanguards of the latest wave in indie cinema. She was the talk on the town at Sundance this year, touting two films, Sound of My Voice and Another Earth, both of which she was heavily involved in writing and producing. As if that wasn’t enough, she’s also an acclaimed documentary filmmaker and a Georgetown graduate with a degree in economics. Can we see more of her please? I’m talking to you, Hollywood.
