Someone at ShoWest snagged some footage of the new Adam McKay directed comedy The Other Guys starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. I'm really digging how Marky Mark is the Cash to Ferrell's Tango. Sure, Wahlberg is playing another ramrod cop, but don't fix it if it ain't broke, yaknowwhatI'msayin'? And Ferrell wears glasses in this film, which I haven't seen him sport in awhile. As long as he doesn't do the whole man-child act again, I'll sit in another darkened theater with him. Here's some context for all you brainiacs:

Will Ferrell helped Conan O'Brien start his run on The Tonight Show, and now he's going to help him end it. Conan will be retiring from NBC this Friday night after calling the network home for seventeen years. When Ferrell appeared on Conan's first Tonight Show episode he was carried out on stage by Egyptian slaves. This time I'm hoping he carries out a box of Molotov cocktails and him and Conan go apeshit on that shiny new studio Jeff Zucker built him. Sure, audience members might be harmed in the process, but there's nothing like a few charred tourist corpses to get your point across.

Recently I reported that Forbes had crowned Simon Cowell the highest paid man on television. Now they've released a more pithy list and Will Ferrell sits at the top. Ferrell has been cited as the most overpaid actor in Hollywood based off the financial returns of his movies. This is of course due to flops like Land of the Lost and Semi Pro. An outraged Sean Penn commented, "Will Ferrell is one of our finest actors... who is willing to drop trow for laughs."

Second on the list is Ewan McGregor, which is really hard to believe. Think about all the money that the Star Wars movies raked in. Not to mention Angels and Demons, Robots, Black Hawk Down, and Big Fish. Did The Island really do THAT poorly? (Forbes)

In this new clip from THE GOODS: LIVE HARD, SELL HARD, car salesman extraordinaire Don Ready (Jeremy Piven) recounts the accidental death of his best friend McDermott to his lady friend, Ivy Selleck (Jordana Spiro).  Throw in the fact that McDermott is played by Will Ferrell, and that his death involves skydiving and a backpack full of dildos, anal beads and lube, and you've got comedy.  My idea of comedy usually only gets as far as lube (and a mirror), so this is pretty advanced stuff in my book.

A brand new red-band trailer for the Will Ferrell & Adam McKay-produced, Jeremy Piven-starring THE GOODS: LIVE HARD. SELL HARD has arrived on the nets and, boy of boy does she have a f**king mouth on her.  I use the feminine to describe the trailer like one might describe a sailing vessel.  But it also makes it a lot easier to segue into the fact that this trailer has problems keeping her shirt on. 

Yes, this one's got boobs aplenty on top of Piven and company's potty mouths.  There's so much big, fake mammarage that I'm forced to put the trailer AFTER the jump, so as not to scar our younger audiences, who shouldn't be watching it in the first place.  (Read: if you're under 17, lie to the computer; it doesn't know, like you're parents don't know you read this site.)
